There is nothing like a sunset in Maui.
Eric Jay

I felt like I was flying with my heads in the clouds!
Eric Jay

The fluffy clouds came and went.
Eric Jay

The ubiquitous footprints in the sand.
Eric Jay

Preston is in search of a drink, too. The Mai Tai's were good and the company was great!
Eric Jay

Mai Tai Molly!
Eric Jay

Preston goofing off! This statue is of two divers, I think. One is holding the other up, and here perspective is everything! Preston was looking for a statue of Atlas holding the world on his shoulders.
Eric Jay

Ah, the flowers. Very pretty!
Eric Jay

This was taken at the airport as we arrived in Maui. This is Preston, Molly's manager. He was there with his wife, Mallory. It was great to spend some time with them, they are very nice people. Look at how happy Molly is, she is ready for some R&R!
Eric Jay

Dad, Conner, and Samantha take a moment to rest (fleeting though it was). I just wish I had an ounce of their energy!
Eric Jay

I took this the weekend before we left for Hawaii. We were watching Extreme Home Makeover, and playing around. We were wrestling and throwing popcorn around, and just had a very fun night! Conner and Samantha were trying to throw popcorn up into the air and catch it in their mouth, very cute!
Eric Jay

Here is the closest I came to getting a whale on film. This whale was playing in the surf. He would breach many more times, but he (or she for that matter) was a good mile away, so I was pretty lucky to get this shot. There are 5000 whales migrating to (from) Alaska. We saw many of them playing around, some adults and baby whales, too.
Eric Jay

You can almost reach out and touch the moon!
Eric Jay

More shots from the early morning.
Eric Jay

This shot was Molly's favorite. This early morning on Wednesday...it is very peaceful on the island.
Eric Jay

Molly and I walked the beach back from Lahaina to the Hyatt. We had to cool our feet off in the surf...
Eric Jay

Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, I had no idea that it really existed. So, the question is, what came first the movie or the company?
Eric Jay

Flowers, flowers, everywhere! Oh what color!
Eric Jay

In Lahaina Harbor, this derelict was merely lying on it's side. It has to have been there for a while, as you can see the build up of barnacles and algae. Part of a natural reef[?].
Eric Jay

Here I am, legally standing in front of the tree.
Eric Jay

This is, allegedly, the oldest tree in America. It is an old Banyan tree. You can't quite see me, but I am in the center of the picture up in the tree. I got in trouble, as you are not supposed to climb it. Can't take me anywhere!
Eric Jay

Old and new meld together. The foreground is an old sailing vessel, and the catamaran is a tourist ride. We visited the whaling town of Lahaina several times. Lots of shopping!
Eric Jay

Another shot of the Hana coastline...very beautiful.
Eric Jay

Hana coastline. We are up above the beach by probably a good 600-700 feet or more. Very tropical. We rented a Jeep and put the top down. As you wind through the jungle you can smell the forest, like a composting pile. Very earthy!
Eric Jay

TIki god number two, keeping a watchful eye on the patrons of Mama's Fish House.
Eric Jay

Caught this wind wurfer rippin' the waves. As we drove further down the beach we saw guys with surf kites. As the ride along the wave they catch air by hitting the wave square on. Some were flying as high 20-30 feet. Rad!
Eric Jay

Mama's Fish House had a surf mobile parked just outside. It is an old "Woody."
Eric Jay

Molly enjoying a little "downtime." Following lunch we drove the Hana Highway. A winding road that narrows to 1 lane bridges, and lots of switchbacks. Slow pokes doin' the Sunday drive, too. Around most bends there were places to stop and view waterfalls. However, Maui's north side has had little rain, therefore, no waterfalls ;-(
Eric Jay

Crashhhhh...
Eric Jay

Ah, I can here the waves now.
Eric Jay

Tiki god of fertility[?].
Eric Jay

Flowers from inside the restaurant, they almost look surreal.
Eric Jay

Here I am standing under the tree roots that lead into the restaurant.
Eric Jay

Molly took this shot of some flowers on the grounds of Mama's. Very cool.
Eric Jay

This is another shot from "Mama's Fish House." Best fish that we had on the island.
Eric Jay

This is a view from a place we had lunch. We rented a car and drove to the north side of the island. We ate at "Mama
Eric Jay

Oh, forgot I shot this one too. The clouds race across they sky! We had "rain" every day we were there. One minute rain the next the clouds are gone!
Eric Jay

Last moon shot. I enjoy getting up early and scouting for a cool early morning shot.
Eric Jay

This is another view from our balcony.
Eric Jay

Here is a moon set, this shot is from the balcony of our room.
Eric Jay

Here is shot number three...breathtaking!
Eric Jay

Maui sunset number 2...
